Covid Restriction Update
Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make the surgery as safe as possible for all our patients and staff. We will continue to do so going forward.
From 19th July nothing will change at the surgery – patients will need to still wear a mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser in the surgery and staff will continue to wear PPE. We do understand that it can be frustrating but we know when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable so we feel it would be wrong not to take these small precautions to protect people.
We also need to protect our clinicians – we could lose hundreds of appointments each week if our clinicans become covid positive.
In terms of opening up, as many of you know, we have never been shut. In fact we have consulted with much higher numbers of patients than we did pre covid – face to face, telephone and video. We have also been a part of the vaccination programme.
Please help us minimise the impact of covid , keep our patients and staff safe.
One of our Admin team Trevor is running in the Great North Run on Sunday 12 September 2021 and the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 3 October 2021 on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support raising much needed funds. If you would like to support him in this cause you can sponsor him by clicking on the link below:
You may find it more convenient to submit an E-consult via our website. You will receive a response from a clinician within 48 hours.
If your problem is more urgent please contact the surgery and a telephone triage appointment or a F2F appointment will be arranged.
If you have a NEW persistent cough or a high temperature above 37.8oC and are worried you may have coronavirus contact 119.
If your symptoms worsen please see NHS website for more information www.nhs.co.uk/coronavirus or call 119.
