From September 2019 community pharmacies will no longer be able to order medicines on your behalf. This is to ensure safe and responsible issuing of medication and prevent unnecessary medicine waste.
There are various ways in which you can order your regular medicines including:
Online from your GP Practice - If you are not already registered ask at reception
Handing in the white, tear off part of your repeat prescription to the practice, identifying which medicines you require.
By telephone between 2pm and 5pm Monday until Friday.
Please allow 2 working days before collection and make allowances for weekends and bank holidays.
They will be issued in 28 days supply at the doctors discretion and are normally for patients on long term treatment.
Please nominate a chemist and your repeat prescription will be sent directly to them.
Some patients who live in rural areas may have their medications dispensed at the surgery, during normal opening hours at all sites. If you have any queries please speak to one of our Dispensing receptionists.
